Obtain a Commercial License Plate for Operating in South Dakota

A commercial license plate is needed in South Dakota if you are a commercial trucker operating in South Dakota in the transportation of persons or property for hire, compensation, or profit or designed, used, or maintained primarily for the transportation of property of more than 500 pounds.
